The vision for True Men is to develop a community of men who live with intentionality.  Men who intentionally seek the face of their Father. Men who invest themselves and their resources in the lives of others. Men who worship with reckless abandon and live with purpose founded upon their identity as beloved sons of God. These are men who understand legacy- that true inheritance is founded within the Kingdom of God not the fading glory of social construct.

 

Proverbs 29:18 states, “Where there is no vision, people cast off restraint”.   This is speaking to a picture of a pair of oxen, yoked together, and working the land, pulling the load, accomplishing the task.  Without the yoke (vision), the oxen have no focus, nothing to keep them together. They go aimlessly, without purpose, and not accomplishing the task, not reaching the goal.

 

This is why we say “No Man alone”!  True Men are yoked together, committed to kingdom goals and kingdom values. We are better together, yet more than that we are in peril when we are alone. When two or more are together, in agreement with the Father and his word, all things are possible. For God is with them, in their midst.

 

In the book of Nehemiah we see a picture of men, together, building the wall around Jerusalem.  Each man was responsible for his particular portion of the wall. As some worked, others stood guard. There is a picture of men with a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other.  Each man responsible for both work and to fight. This is why we declare, “Every Man a Leader”.  We live lives with intentionality- to build the kingdom through worship and the work of the ministry.
